This book Shows the paradoxes of addiction. This is a carefully written book that ties Psychology, Medical practice and Religion. It shows case the simplicity of fighting addiction yet we complicate the process to almost impossibilities.

This is a must read for anyone interested in addressing addiction.

  2. As a former addiction recovery nurse, I agree that we can overcomplicate the concept of fighting addiction. I think the path to recovery is unique to each individual, the psychological issues that have contributed to the addiction, their own physiology & what works for them medically, as well as their own spiritual or religious beliefs. I think this book will be an excellent & insightful tool on the path to recovery.

    • Totally agree with you. this is an individual journey there is no one fits all treatment. I had the book as the set text for my recovering counselor training.
